When parents succeed, children thrive

If I am providing individual therapy for a child, you also need support in the process.

You might benefit simply from learning theories, and learning to apply new strategies

You might have a history of grief and trauma that make it difficult for you to connect with your children, or to apply new ways of thinking or being that could improve your relationship with their child

You may have psychological challenges that get in the way of being the parent you want to be

Your family might be in the midst of intensity that interrupts everyone’s ability to be their relaxed, loving selves.

Every family is different

I’ll flex to ensure that your family’s needs are met.

While your child attends weekly or twice monthly individual therapy, you’ll get email or phone reports. I will provide a monthly parent session to share how your child is doing with me, and to address your unique parenting concerns with individualized education and support.

If you need more support, you can meet with me weekly, separately from your child’s weekly sessions. You can also come to your child’s therapy session to practice attuning, expressing and regulating strategies.

Joining your child in play therapy sessions is always an option. It’s a great opportunity to learn, grow and play together, as long as everyone is ready; the child is comfortable with you joining and that you are prepared to be present in a loving and compassionate stance that furthers the child’s growth and healing.
